Preparing the IT Lab Implementation at Aron Pumnul General School, Cuciulata, for April 17th
17th of April, 2024
Today is about education, opportunity and giving back.
Beneficiary: Aron Pumnul Secondary School from Cuciulata, a small town in Transylvania, Romania.
A helping hand for the education of the more than 400 children who study here.
A multi functional lab was installed in Jemaa Houderran school (83 km of Rabat). 5 computers, one big monitor, printer and one big speaker with microphones and internet connection were donated by our members through donations in money and computers.
Another 5 laptops were donated to some poor families with many children in school. Both opportunities were identified by our friends from AC Rabat 4.

Huge thanks to all the ladies who donated laptops in Hanover—we truly appreciate the extra effort! Special thanks to Agora ladies from Romania, America, Luxembourg, Germany, and Belgium for the laptops donations, and to Agora USA, Agora International, and other generous contributors for their monetary donations. Every bit helps.
Our ISP Convenor Mihaela from #AgoraClubRomania and her team put in significant effort for our International Service Project!
In Hanover, Mihaela sold Merlot bottles from her and Petru's vineyard. Each bottle sold for 15 euros, supporting solar panel projects in Zambia 🇿🇲 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, where water power stations can't meet electricity needs due to dryness.

The first school in Zambia to benefit from an IT laboratory is St. Patrick's Community School. This project holds a special place in our hearts as the school in Chilanga provides free education to orphans.
The donation included 15 laptops and a router, enabling the students to access modern educational resources and bridge the digital divide.
Alongside the IT lab, through generous donations, we were able to install a 3kW solar system to alleviate the power struggles the region faces due to drought.
Thank you to all the incredible women involved in this project and for the generous laptop and monetary donations that helped bring this project to life!
The next implementation in Zambia will be on the 1st of April. We can't wait!

The project convener, Mihaela Cracana, accompanied by the Agora Zambia team, visited St. Patrick's Community School in Chilanga, south of Lusaka. They were delighted to see the newly implemented IT lab, equipped with 16 laptops and a 5kW solar system, complete with an inverter and batteries. The children were already engaging with the computers, enthusiastically learning skills such as text formatting.
Mr. Peter, the IT instructor, showcased his dedication by patiently teaching the children how to navigate the keyboard. Despite the challenges faced by the school—where classrooms accommodate an overwhelming 70 to 80 pupils per session—the teachers continue to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to education.
A heartfelt thank you for warmly welcoming us once again!

Early Dove Community School in Lusaka West Chilanga District inaugurated a new IT lab, equipped with 6 laptops, a router for internet access, and a 3KW solar power system. Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Parents' Council, teachers, pupils, and Agora Club Zambia attended the event. The children performed a lively show in true African style.
The community school is built by the village, and the 7 professors are paid by the government. Every class has around 30–35 kids.
Agora Club Zambia and the Laptops4Hope team are proud to contribute to the school and pupils' development, offering the opportunity to learn today in order to lead tomorrow.
With immense pride, we present the newly donated solar system to Rafiki School for Girls, now located in a renovated space that is much better suited to the needs of the girls. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible!
The next stage of the Laptops4Hope project in Zimbabwe will take place on April 3-4, when we will implement an IT lab. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

We returned to Rafiki Girls School in Harare to conclude the donation mission with 10 laptops and 2 tablets. Rafiki serves as a sanctuary for orphaned or struggling girls, equipping them with valuable skills such as designing, sewing, interpersonal development, and now, computer literacy.
The Laptops 4 Hope team received a heartfelt welcome. Present at the event were His Excellency, the Ambassador of Romania, Mr. Alexandru Irimia, the distinguished former Minister of Education, Dr. Chung, and a group of graduates from the school—who have gone on to thrive as businesswomen or educators. Joining them were representatives from the media, the school’s leadership and students, as well as our steadfast supporters from Agora, including President Chidochemoyo Musasiwa, Vice President Avril Joseph, and their dedicated team of ladies. We were also honored to have Ross, the President of Round Table Zimbabwe, and the President of Ladies’ Circle Zimbabwe, in attendance.
Yet another Laptops4Hope implementation successfully completed! We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who made this possible.
The ladies of AGORA CLUB SARIAKA MADAGASCAR collected five laptops locally, cleaned and repaired them, and generously donated them to the teachers and leaders of CEG Manandriana. The students expressed their gratitude and appreciation with full honors.
Laptops4Hope is possible thanks to the generosity and kindness of people like you.
From Romania to Cyprus, the laptops embarked on a meaningful journey, passing through the dedicated hands of members from Round Table, Tangent, Ladies Circle and Agora International.
The handover took place at the RTI HYM event, ensuring these devices are now on their way to Zambia and Zimbabwe, where they will bring hope and create opportunities.
